FREE Certified Nursing Assistant Program for incoming 12th grade students Attention Current 11th Grade Families: Is your student interested in going into nursing or the medical field after high school? Washtenaw Community College offers a dual enrollment program in which high school students may earn a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in one semester for free. Through this program, students take 9 credits in one semester and then are eligible to take the CNA test at the end of the program. With this license, students are ready for immediate employment in the health field. The classes are offered at Ypsilanti High School so students must provide their own transportation. As long as students pass the classes, the district covers the costs. Interested students and families should contact Mrs. Barbara (barbarac@milanareaschools.org) for more information.
